(This will be a compendium of media scraps from the campaign.)

The Purdue Votes Mayoral Forum originally scheduled for September 25th has been cancelled, due to Mayor Dennis backing out of his commitment. The City Council Forum will continue. The League of Women Voters October 21st Forum is still tentative. We need to be diligent and continue to demand to have a public dialogue between myself and Mayor Dennis. If you would like for us to speak to you or your organization, please reach out.

We need more voices demanding City Council and Mayoral Debates in #Election2019

Purdue Votes has scheduled a forum for Wednesday, September 25th. The League of Women Voters of Greater Lafayette are working on organizing two forums as well. The Mayoral event is being held on Thursday, October 10th. I do not have word on when the City Council event will take place. Thank you for everyone’s support to have a public campaign event that actually engages the public. Keep working with other media to have more events this #ElectionLaLa. Dialogue and discourse are critical in the Mayoral, Council, and Clerk races.

Mayor Dennis has changed his mind several times on the question of having a debate. In his July interview on WBAA, he stated that he would be open to a forum that includes all of the Candidates in West Lafayette. We have been advocating for this as well, however, the community has also asked that there be a Mayoral Candidate-only debate. Let’s make sure that happens.
