A public meeting to present the current draft of the West Lafayette Downtown Plan (August 2019) is scheduled later this month:

Several direct perspectives (Resident, Bicyclist, Student, Family, Youth, Entrepreneur, Artist) were left out of the initial Project Steering Committee:
So, we have the Purdue Research Foundation, three Commercial Property owners, WREC (whose board is mostly made up of City Officials), City Bus, a Business owner (Bruno’s Pizza), two consultants (one from MKSK and the other from TBird), and several West Lafayette staff advisors (Carson and Collier work for the City of Lafayette), but again, no one with the title resident. Or bicyclist, student, family, youth, entrepreneur, artist, etc.
